Upgrading Procedure

For MediaDAB are available 2 different upgrading systems:
• Application Upgrade (MediaDAB.fwp)
This upgrade rectifies/improves the working of interface basic functions as for example menu menagement and radio tuning.
• Speech Synthesis Upgrade (MediaDAB.vox)
MediaDAB, in the standard configuration, is provided with some voices.
However it is possible to substitute them with other languages or with the most updated version.

Application Upgrade

• Download updating file: MediaDAB_Application_vX.X.zip from the website www.paser.it.
• Extract the file: MediaDAB.fwp from the archive.
• Copy file MediaDAB.fwp into the ROOT of a USB pen which has been formatted with a FAT32* file system.
• Connect USB pen to MediaDAB.
• Switch on MediaDAB.
• Enter the updating menu following the path:
Menu ->> Setup ->> System ->> Upgrade System Version
• Follow MediaDAB vocal instructions.

Upgrade Voci

• Download updating file: MediaDAB_Voice_XXX-XXX_vX.X.zip from the website www.paser.it.
• Extract the file: MediaDAB.vox from the archive.
• Copy file MediaDAB.vox into the ROOT of a USB pen which has been formatted with a FAT32* file system.
• Connect USB pen to MediaDAB.
• Switch on MediaDAB.
• Enter the updating menu following the path:
Menu ->> Setup ->> Voice ->> Upgrade Voice
• Follow MediaDAB vocal instructions.
• RDS system will indicate the loaded bytes.

*To execute the upgrade it is necessary a USB pen MediaDAB compatible.
